Very nice voxel art! Clever way of implementing censorship, too, with the hand of oppression squeezing discussion bubbles. The squeezing looks and sounds great.

You've said you didn't want to encourage a particular goal, but what if the goal was randomized? Each game you'd be tasked with "encouraging" the populace to adopt a different set of beliefs?

I checked the billboard pretty frequently, but I didn't feel a strong connection between the billboard and the discussions I was squashing. It might help to have an indicator for opinions that are beginning to change.

Huh, randomized goals is something I didn't think of, that could work. It's a pretty cool idea :-)

I agree with the billboard needing more feedback. I almost forgot to add the billboard itself before the jam ended, silly me!

Really interesting and beautiful way to explore the effects of the control of speech. It seemed like public opinion changed very slowly. I wonder if a more rapid progression would enhance or detract from the sandbox-like experience.

I didn't have much time to balance and test the game, so the systems in it are pretty simple. Should test a more rapid progression though, could be better. Thanks!

Hello! I really liked your game, it had an interesting premise and looks really neat! I made a short let's play of it along with another game here~

Wow, that's great, thanks! :-)

You're welcome! :D

no ending, that let's the player decide what to do and change subsequently the actions is indeed an interesting concept. I don't know if it's rewarding really, but it surely is interesting ;) anyway the artwork is great.

Thank you! :-)

You're right, not having an ending isn't very rewarding but when you can't give it a proper ending then it's best not to do it at all. A time-based ending would probably make sense, though it'd take a while to balance that, a goal-based ending crossed my mind but, for this particular theme, I wasn't comfortable with encouraging players to do a certain task.

oh it's completely understandable! when I think about rewarding the player, I think that maybe it could be sometning that could happen in game without adding the ending that would finish it, without changing or abandonning the current design. maybe something like them fighting the poor fellows they do not like, or dancing with those they like. I don't know, maybe it's a bad idea.

Sounds like a good idea to me! :-)
